The Heroic Imagination Project (HIP) inspires ordinary people to trigger extraordinary social change. HIP is based on the insight that all people have the capacity to act heroically, and that it's possible to prepare anyone to be a hero when called upon.

HIP will develop key new initiatives in education, media, and research, including:

• Research to explore the nature of heroism in its many aspects
• School curricula to prepare a new generation of heroes
• An online Encyclopedia of Heroes, documenting classic and everyday heroes around the world to inspire and educate the public
• Public engagement programs using social media, mobile applications, and games
• An online Heroes in Training Toolkit
• University and adult education programs

HIP is the realization of Dr. Philip Zimbardo's vision for an organization dedicated to creating a global community of heroes through education, research, media, and public engagement campaigns.
